The Olympic Games

I read The Olympic Games. I have many surprising things between reading it. At first, the Olympic Games had dangerous sport long time ago such as pankration.

Pankration athletes had to be very strong. They could not use their teeth or put their fingers in someone’s eyes, but they could fight with their hands and feet, and in any other way. Because of this, Pankration was very dangerous, and athletes sometimes died in these fights.

     I thought the Olympic Games were the symbol of peace, but that sport is very dangerous and some people died. I was very surprise and I couldn’t find the reason why the sport began.

     Second, long time ago, the Olympic Games were very small and little countries participate in it. When I read it, I couldn’t imagine that one. Now, it is called the festival which held one time in four years. I found the Olympic Games became bigger and bigger. And it is not only the sports, but also opening and closing ceremonies are very beautiful. In 2012, London Olympic closing ceremony, the Brazilian dance did. It was because the next Olympic will be held in there. It was also good.

     Third, through the story, the Olympic players are great.

       In four Olympic Games, between 1984 and 1996, Lewis won nine gold medals and one silver in athletics events. And he was not just a great sprinter; four of those medals were for the long jump!

     It’s an example in this book. I thought this man is high ability of this game. I can understand because I was in track and field club, we can’t win the different games, so he is not usual.

     Fourth, when Paralympic began, the people who don’t use wheel chair couldn’t participate in it. If they don’t use it, they have some problems so I thought they must have participated in it. However, recently, they came to participate in it, so I feel the world is kinder than before. The Paralympic sport is harder than normal one such as basketball. It often conflicts so when they use their wheel chair, it must have been dangerous. I respect to the players.

     Therefore the Olympic games sometimes happened problem, but it’s the festival of a time in four years.

     When you stand on the Golden Gate Bridge and look east across San Francisco Bay, you can see an island. It is very small, but everybody knows its name, Alcatraz. Every year, more than 1.4 million visitors visit this place.

     Alcatraz island first became an imprtant prison in 1907. At this time, it was only a prison for soldiers. Then,in the 1930s, the U.S. government needed a place for the most dangerous people in the country-people from wild cities like Cicago or New York. They thought nobody would be able to escape from the island of Alcatraz.

The Kiss

He did not feel a special kindness toward women; it was simply that the idea of marriage was new to him and he did not know how to behave.

I read The Kiss. This book included five stories about love. I like these stories but this university don't have many love story. Therefore I was happy to find it!

I read A Ghost in Love.  It was a famous play in 17 century. It was not just a novel. It was like script. Therefore it was easy to read.

Interesting Metaphor

      I thought ''my life in America was like a jack in the box'' is the most interesting metaphor.  Atsushi said it. He lived in America for five years when he was a elementary school student. There are a reason why I thought.
      It was because I felt the life in America is very different from it in Japan. He said he met surprising things almost every day. He is also Japanese, so the foreign country's life might feel surprised. However I found the life in America is very different than I expected.
      Therefore I thought this metaphor is the most interesting.

Essay1 College Writing

I think my journey started when I was born. And the more I get, the more
experiences I did. I also think our life is also similar to an adventures. This time, I will
explain my life as a journey and an adventure. I’ll write three parts, the past, now, and the
future.
First, I’ll explain about the time when I was born. That time, I was at a happiness
place. It was because I was only loved. Nobody hated me. I think when I did something,
everyone around me didn’t hate so that time I was on a roll very much.
Second, I’ll explain about now. From when I entered a kindergarten to now, I met a lot of
people. Before entered, I only knew my family, and everyone must have been loved. After
I entered there, I found that I directly show what I think, I think there are some people who
hate me. However some of my friends said to me they like that kind of thing about me. I was
always encouraged by this word. And I came to know about myself and have an inferiority
complex, but in the same time I also know what I’m good at the thing through my club activity. So
now, my journey isn’t perfect, but I think I’m enjoying it. I feel almost as if I have an
adventure in a precipitous mountain. The higher I climb, the happier I can feel.
Third, if I graduate from this university, I think the biggest adventure will begin. In society,
I must have met the people of all ages. So I will feel tired, but I also meet great things
which I haven’t net yet. Therefore I think my journey doesn’t finish for a time and my journey
never become only happiness. However I must survive this journey with a little happiness.

As I told, I went to Osaka to see my grandmother' s grave and play in Universal Studious Japan with my mother. Osaka is greater than Kumamoto about transport. In other words, we didn't understand how to go there very much. However, our smartphone also advance. So we researched by using it. And in USJ, we can see and take pictures with our favorite character, snoopy and his friends and so on. We were happy to see them as if we were children. After it, we rode on a lot of coasters. I was a little afraid of riding it, but after doing it, I was very exciting. This trip was so exciting and I went trip with her for the first time in two years, so I thought it's good to go with my family. I wanna go again! Now, I'm working five days last. The work is hard, but I can struggle because of fun.

I'll go to Osaka to go to my grandmother's haka-mairi and play in USJ with my mother. I'll go there for the first time in five years and I'll go on a trip with my mother for the first time in three hours so I'm looking forward to going. Tomorrow, I'll take shinkansen for about three hours, and subway for many times. I don't know Osaka's sybway very much, so I'm a little nervous. But we can enjoy this trip! And after it, I worked for five days last. I'm tired because September has two 3 days-renkyu. In other words, costemers must be came. But Our summer vacation will finish about two weeks. When the classses will start, I can't did these things. So I must struggle.

This week, I worked very hard. I lasted working for six days. And I did holidays for many people in three days of all days. In other words, I worked fo many many people. I always got up at 6:30, went to work at 7:30,and finished working at 14:00 or 15:00. So I exhausted very much.  When I finished six day's work, I say 'I was tired!' in my way to home, of course big voice. However, I must work and earn money for my play.

This week, I worked a lot. I'll do almost every day. Because of  last week's trip in Hiroshima. I'll be tired. However I like this work. And today, I bought the expensive bread to eat with the jam bought in Hiroshima. Hiroshima is famous for lemon and orange. So I looked at the jam. I'm looking forward to eating after the job. And I'll begin running to Kumamoto Castle Marathon. I don't know I can run or not. However if I can run, I have to practice. I want to enjoy running with porno graffitti's songs. They don't only great songs, but also they say great words. I was said a lot, so I have to struggle. I'm happy to loving porno graffitti. I can always struggle for them.

This week, I did a lot og things. First, I took pictures with beautiful kimono. I thought the kimono I'll wear on the aged ceremony is very good for me. So I enjoyed this time and I'm looking forward to going to this ceremony. Second, I went to lunch with my friend. She is my high school time's friend, and I saw her for the first time in half year. We couldn't stop talking. I felt the friends since I was a student were very good. Third, I went to Hiroshima to go to my favorite singer, of course you know, porno graffitti! I would go there 2 days. However I couldn't. Because of a lot of rain. I went only 1 day. But they looked very happy because they could do at their hometown. They say 'Our hometown is very good aren't you?'. I felt their love by Hiroshima. And I felt it too. When I asked the way to some places people in there, they taught very well. I thought this week was very happy.

I wrote about this week last time. So I'll write what to do last week. I worked almost every day, because of my trip and concert. However I like this work. I like books very much, so I enjoy working. Of course I have terrible things in this work. And I'll go to hot spring with my friend in junior high school after working. So I want to enjoy this week.

The things what I want to do this week

In this week, I have a lot of things what I have to do. Playng with my university friends, watching a movie, readying for my favorite singer's concert and marathon, eating meat with my friends. Especially, I'm looking forward to going to their's concert. It's because I waited for about five months ago when it decided to hold. It's often rain in their concert, so I have to ready for it a lot. Of course I'm praying for not to rain, but we can't understand for the future, so I have to do. And I haven't played with my university friends. So I'm looking forward to doing.  So I have to struggle in this week.

Little Women

Beth went in. 'I came to say thank you, sir,' she began, in her quiet little voice. But he looked so friendly that she ran and put both her arms around his neck and kissed him.

I read Little Women. This story has many main character. First , of course four little women. They are called by their father. And they have a mother and a little sister. This story describes about family and their each love. They aren't diffrent their charecter. One of them is very fine and beautiful, the other is shy. I was moved tabout Beth's love the best. She was usually shy, but when she met music and a man who tell her about it, she changed little by little. And one day, she kissed to him suddenly. I thought meeting something shock makes people better.

I read Under The Greenwood Tree. This story is about music and love. The characters in this book like playing instruments. One day, A woman come to them and A man fall in love to her. He prised about her very much. I thought he is deeply in love. And I quoted their marrige talk. It's very cute I felt.

However he is so rich, she is so poor and so on, they have many difference points. So they are difficult for persuading to their parents, but at last they can do. They want a lot of things, but, suddenly she said about...

When I read it, I felt déjà vu. I have already read like this. I remembered about it and I was very moved. If I were her, I can't behave such as her. So I thought she was very strong. And he is too.

I read Go, Lovely Rose and other stories. This book has three stories about love. I thought the last story was fun for me. It is about a mother, her daughter, and a man. I was surprised by her face. Her face was cold, but only her lip was very beauiful, and she often eat grapes.When he saw her, he felt in love with her. However she didn't like him. And when he met her daughter and consult to her about his love, she told to him the bad things about her. And their character is very opposite. The mother is cold, but her daughter is very cute and kind. finally he felt in love with the daughter and the triangle relationship started.

A Christmas Carol

I read A Christmas Carol. This story's main character has two people, but a person died on Christmas, after that the other person, Scrooge, hate Christmas day. However, everyone came from him and say 'Merry Christmas!' but he ignored. After he slept, he met his partner's ghost. He said to Scrooge that Scrooge will be told by three spirits about the happiness of Christmas. So every night they came from him and they showed the image of it by using people around him and so on.

I felt that Scrooge like his partner and because of it he hate the day. However if he behave like that, everyone felt sad. So he should thank for three spirits. They show him not only happiness of the day, but also his future. He felt bad by this image, but I thought that he should show it.

William Shakespreare

It was a sunny day in October 1579 when I first met Will, just outside Stanford, near a big field of apple trees. I saw a boy up in one of the trees.

I read William Shakespreare. This story was written about Shakespeare's life. His life was very hard,
for example, he studied hard, and he didn't sleep at all. And when he suddenly said he should leave his hometown and go to London to make better works, his friend(the story's writer)went with him.

Before reading, I felt his life was very good and he didn't feel hard at all. However, actually his life was very hard and he struggled very much. I thought his friend was very kind, because if he wasn't kaid, he had taken with Shakespeare. I was very moved.

The Railway Children

I read The Railway Children. This story have many happening. For example, when the family spent lich life for the first time, they must suddenly move away near railway and they began to very country life. And when their mother got sick and she must eat delicious food, they ran belong the railway and they showed the train's passengers big paper written in 'PLEASE GIVE US FOOD!' They also wanted to meet their father because they have ever met.

When I read it, I felt the story was so busy. Many happening, and father... I hope their family will be happ life. And I read stage 3 book for the first time. It was so interesting and it was easy to read!

I read The Sheep Pig. The story has a lot of animals. The farmer's house have only pig, and others are dogs. They call sheep dog. The pig, his name is Babe, is often said he's stupid so he can't be sheep pig by dogs. However he made effort and he won the race about sheep pig.

I thought the story looks like Ugly Duckling. Both story are a inferior animal often bullied, but at last, they got to win. When I read this story, I also thought the pig's spirit was tough. So I felt I should make effort.

It is a very cold winter. The birds are hungry and dangerous. There are thousands and thousands of birds and they want to kill and to eat.

I read The Bird. This story is in the south island, so at fall, a lot of bird come from many place to spent warm place. However, this year, there are many birds than usual. And every night, they attack to the people in the island. People take measure, but they attack. And they broke everything.

I knew the birds went to warm place, but I didn't know they attacked. So I felt it was very scary, and I didn't wanna live like there. The family in this island struggle for their children not to be scary. I felt compassion to them!

I read The Black Tulip. The story is two men are fighting with successing to grow black tulip. The story has very dangerous part, the feeling of loving tulips, and a little love story. When I read it, I felt a little scary. Two men have conspiracy. Not friends. I thought this book isn't peaceful story.

I read Alice's Adventure in Wonderland. The storywas the same as 『Alice in Wonderland』. She felt in the hole, her body was suddenly bigger and smaller by eating cake, cookie, and drinking. She met a lot of animals and cards.

I thought the book was very busy and it made me funny. However I felt a thing about Alice. First, she said she didn't have nothing to do, but after the problem happened, she annoyed. I found the normal life is important.

and more. When I read it, I was always surprised to these punch line not to expect.

Spring vacation

In this spring vecation, I went on three trips.
-
First, I went to Tokyo. I enjoyed in Asakusa, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Tokyo Station. Especially, I haven't ever been to TDR. So I created great memories.
Second, I went to Kagoshima to see my closely friend. I stayed in her's house and talk a lot, enjoyed in Takamori Saigoh's hometown. However I couldn't enjoy all of Kagoshima. So I wanna go again!
Third, I went to Hitoyoshi with my friends in PUK by SL Hitoyoshi and Kawasemi-Yamasemi. We went to a big shrine, cafe. Hitoyoshi had very traditional place. So I had a special days.

I thought trip made me strong because I could experience a lot of things. And I was happy to see my friends long time no see. Those good memories makes me fine!

I read The Dark Side of The City. This story is also mystery.. However the start of story was so interesting for me. The first was the man met funny people in his nearest station. For example the man who have a snake, the lady who asked him that choose her son's birthday present. I thought these enes were interested. However, after that, the story went to mystery. So I was bored..

I read Ten Long Years. I thought this book was mystery. A man met another man by chance. He looked very kind. However he changed by alcohol. And the murder happened. I felt human was very strange. If the appearance of them was very good, they may have another character. This book told me that.

A Picture to Remember

She never wore a helmet because she liked the feeling of the wind in her long hair. But her father didn't know that.

I read A Picture to Remember. The main character like riding motorbike without her helmet. One day, she caught a traffic accident. And she lost her own memory. She met a man during the accident. She and he felt in love. I thought that I couldn't understand her feeling. Why did she like riding without her helmet. She must be catch an accident. Also her family should have been angry to her. There are many things which I can't understand.

I read Jojo's story. I can't express this story well. This story's main character, Jojo, lost everything. He lost his family, friend, and more. He is only alive in his country. After that he went orphan. A lot os things happened in there. After all, he became a soldier. I was impressed the biggining of the story. He talked with alone. In other words, he talked to himself. He wanted to die and go to his family. However he didn't want to die. I was moved to his waver feeling.

I read New Yorkers. This is five short stories by O. Henry. I like first story the best. It's about a poor couple. The wife cut and sold her beautiful hair to earn money and give her husband a great present. However, he looked shocked after her haircut. It was because he would give her a beautiful combs. I thought it is sad but very heartful story. Their think each other. I was so moved.

Good Wives

I read Good Wives. This story has four sisters' story. It looks like 'Shokojo' in Japan, I think. One of the sister dead in the middle of it. Another one married soon. The rest of two girls were especially impressed for me. One of the two is Jo. She is loved by Laurie who is her best friend. However he damped. After it, he went to Paris, and met another sister, Amy. He talked about Jo, and he has come to like her more and more, almost immediately, he confessed her and asked to marry. So they married. I can't understand why he changed his feeling!
