New Yorkers

'Jim,' she cried. 'Don't look at me like that. I sold my hair because I wanted to give you a present. It will be long again.

I read New Yorkers. This is five short stories by O. Henry. I like first story the best. It's about a poor couple. The wife cut and sold her beautiful hair to earn money and give her husband a great present. However, he looked shocked after her haircut. It was because he would give her a beautiful combs. I thought it is sad but very heartful story. Their think each other. I was so moved.
